September 4, 2024 I found a quilted heart outside a business in downtown Wilmington, NC. It has sweet a cat pattern on it. I had a very traumatic event happen to me 2 weeks ago and I’ve been deeply struggling since then. I’m still in the thick of dealing with the outcome of the event and this heart lifted my spirits when I noticed it while walking my dog. At first I walked past it not wanting to take it. But, then I looked in to the quilted heart story and felt it was a sign for me to have this heart. After taking it, I held it to my chest and felt like maybe everything was going to be okay.
I will cherish this heart and am so grateful for this project. I really needed a sign that things were going to be okay and felt like this heart did just that. Thank you to the kind person who made this heart and for the founder of this project.
