White Springs, FL USA

My husband and I spent a couple of nights camping over the Christmas weekend at Stephen Foster Park in White Springs, FL.  It was our “Christmas Eve Hike” when we were exploring the trails within the park. We had been walking for quite a while when we started to talk about heading back to camp. As soon as we decided to head back, we saw another smaller trail that went along the Suwannee River.  We decided to take this (longer) trail back to our campsite. At one point along the trail, we stopped to watch the river and were amazed at how fast the current was flowing! We continued on the path and came to a small creek that we had to cross by climbing and balancing over large fallen trees, only to discover that around the bend we could not go any farther because of flooding! We turned around, climbed back over the trees and continued back the way we came.  At the same spot where we were admiring the river we saw this beautiful quilted heart hanging in a tree….we totally missed it the first time we passed!!  I am so happy that we mustered up the energy to explore a little more and find this heart!
Thank you to the person that spent the time to make and place this treasure!! It has found a good home!
