My autistic daughter has recently struggled with depression to the point that she had to be taken to the ER at Dartmouth Medical Center. For her own safety, I had to leave her alone, with strangers, for the first time in her life.
I can not express my anguish and grief over the helplessness I felt. After a visit with her, I left with her eldest brother and grabbed Five Guys for dinner. I walked outside and the red trim of a heart caught my eye. I picked it up and just felt a sense of relief. I know that God has a plan and this simple yet beautiful reminder was personally powerful message. I’m truly grateful for the love and kindness that was offered in this tiny gift!!!
