My family and I traveled to DC around Halloween to support my sister running her first marathon! We were doing some site seeing and I found my heart on a bench next to the Vietnam Memorial. This has extra special meaning to me because my pap passed away unexpectedly in July. He was a Vietnamese Veteran and that was the first time my grandmother was getting to see the memorial. Needless to say, it was an emotional moment for us all. We believe that my pap and this heart helped keep my sister safe during her marathon. It was a very special find that I will always cherish!
