On September 10 we went out for a walk with my husband and our friend’s dog, Alfie. There were many people enjoying the nice weather.

As we walked by George Wainborn Park, something caught my eye in the bushes: a heart-shaped thing. Its vibrant colors and intricate design stood out amidst the greenery. I reached out and gently took it in my hand, as my husband and Alfie joined me to investigate.

I had never seen anything quite like it before. A random fabric heart ornament hanging in the bushes, it felt like a little gift from the universe.

I’ve always had a soft spot for heart-shaped things. They represent love and goodness in the world, and finding this heart in such an unexpected place filled me with joy.

So, here I am, sharing this story. Sometimes, all it takes is a simple walk with loved ones to stumble upon a hidden gem – a heart that reminds us of the beauty and love that surround us.
