I had the day off of work, which is not normal (9/18/23) I had decided to go to the local Sams club located in Utica, MI. When I came out of the store, I loaded my car, and climbed in, when I caught something moving out of the corner of my eye, so of course I turned my head to look. It was something in the tree about 10 feet away. I sat looking at it rather confused, then I saw a note pinned to it. Hmmmm. Intriguing, so I got out to investigate. When I got closer I saw the quilted heart and thought how cute. I was going to leave it to brighten someone else’s day then thought, what if it’s meant for me? So I took it down and drove away.
When I got home I had a chance to really look at it- and to be honest. My heart flooded with emotions. You see. I recently had to put my dog down, my best friend. I’ve just been kinda going through each day. When I looked closer at the heart, it felt like a message from him. You see. His absolute favorite treat was carrots. And if you look at the heart, it kinda screams carrot. There is a green ribbon and above it is this black and while marbled button. Literally the exact colors of my dog. Almost showing him up in heaven. The three smaller buttons below – to me represent my actual children still here on earth. So. This heart was meant for me, and I will treasure it.
