I had just finished up an urgent care shift at the animal hospital when I walked outside around 9:45pm. I saw the heart dangling from a tree branch and initially thought it was the neighboring business’s doing. I walked up to it and was happily surprised. I asked my coworker if I should take the heart and she said of course! It was a long day and seeing such a thoughtful random act of joy made me grateful for the human connection.
