I want to start off by saying I knew nothing about this phenomenon of leaving quilted hearts for random strangers.

I noticed this hanging on a shrub outside of my apartment building. I chose to ignore as I had just woke up. Few minutes later I stepped outside with my coffee mug, half awake, went past it, didn’t care to bother. After soaking some morning sun, headed back inside and noticed this again. By this time I was fully awake (LOL). Here’s my thought train:

Why is this randomly hanging out there, could be some trash floating around? Thought it’s a toy when I noticed the Mini Mouse. But then, I got closer and read “I need a Home” followed by a website URL. At that point, I was like ugh! this must be a new way of raising funds for the homeless. I wasn’t sure if it is clean or if it had some stuff on it that’s bad for you (remember covid? lol). My curiosity made me look up the website. I was expecting a cultish thing or a religious group like those churches that send out sweet sounding hand-written letters then try to squeeze a donation out. What I saw on the website made me smile, then laugh at how I got all antsy at first. Then , I picked it up, smelled my fingers to make sure there is nothing on it before I decided to trust this thing (or the person behind it)!

I know what you are thinking (LOL), but in my defense, I have seen terrible human behaviors and organizations in the past few years that these experiences turned an open minded optimist into a pessimist and succeeded in creating trust issues. But hey, I am glad to have found it and really appreciate this gesture of whoever that took the time to make this quilt and had the thought of making a random stranger feel special.

One thing about love is that it multiples when you share unlike most other things which get divided.

Thank you, stranger! Peace and prosperity to you. May God bless you with free passes to Disney World 😀
