My husband and I are distance runners, and we were on an 18 mile training run last week. It was early. It was uphill. It was nine miles in and not fun anymore. I started looking at the trees to pass the time, and saw something hanging there; it was a little fabric heart with a quilted walleye on it. It was like finding treasure! It made me so happy! My grandma taught me to quilt when I was in high school, so that has always been something that reminds me of her. We lost her in March 2021, and I miss her every day. I finished that run thinking about all the cool stuff she taught my sister and I, and what a remarkable person she was. Thank you for this remarkable experience!
