My Daddy and I had tried to go swimming but the pool was unexpectedly closed! I was very sad but my daddy said let’s go for a walk and a treasure hunt! We went to the woods and first I collected lots of conkers which we are going to plant and turn into trees! Next we went into the spooky woods looking for bugs as that was part of my homework for the week. We heard wolves and saw a snail on the crocodile pond! Eek! I wanted to get away from the woods quickly so we walked down the narrow path creeping along in silence. Suddenly I looked up and saw this love heart on a tree! I picked it up and read the label. It said ‘I need a home’ and Daddy said we should bring it with us. We took it home and read the other stories people have written and now we’re writing our own.
