San Francisco, CA USA

For me and my boyfriend Paul it was our first day in San Francisco. In the morning we decided spontaneously to leave Stockton earlier to still make it to this free walking tour.  During that tour we met four wonderful new people. We got along so well that we decided to spend the afternoon together. We had lunch together and did a walk around the city centre, to Lombard Street and fishermen’s wharf and when we said goodbye we decided that we will see each other again (what we did!).
At fishermen’s wharf then we saw these great old sailing ships and as passionate sailors we felt the instant need to explore them. Normally the entry to this national historic site would have cost 15 dollars each but turned out that it was veterans Day and therefore we could see these beautiful ships for free!! It was a nice exhibition and we learned a lot about the Balclutha and the other boats around.
We decided to finish this day full of wonderful nice twists with a walk in the Maritime Garden and there we found it: our beautiful quilted heart. It made this wonderful day even more wonderful and brought us a lot of joy even though we still don’t know what the tiny little key might unlock. Thank you lovely quilted heart sewer. The heart will always remind us of a beautiful day in a beautiful city.
