When I saw this quilted heart at the community aviary I knew exactly what it was thanks to social media. I was so excited to take and share this picture!
At first I hesitated to take the heart for myself. But my family had just come from visiting an ailing aunt, and taking our daughter to the aviary had been on our bucket list for quite a while — so finding the heart felt almost like a reminder that my own small efforts to spread joy and make memories *are* impactful.
