I was in the process of a 3-day drive from Oakland to Seattle to start a new job. I’m leaving my dogs with a friend and we took them for a morning walk. Deep into the woods, along a path, we saw the quilted heart hanging on a mossy tree. I’ve brought it with me to Seattle.
