My daughter and I found a quilted heart as we were leaving a clothing store. We found her dress for her last Father-Daughter dance and the heart on our way back to our car. Hanging there on a bush was this adorable, handmade heart. It’s been bittersweet this year for my daughter. She is entering the trenches of adolescence and trying to understand changes in her friends and her body. There have been many long night with tears and hope for days when the storm passes. You couldn’t pay me to go back to that age and those feelings. Finding the heart so inspired her. She has been learning to sew and wants to pass this unexpected joy onto others. Thank you for making this project that gives us little moments of wonder and joy!
