One of my places I like to run is on the Prairie Trail in the Glacial Park region. While I was running north towards the Wisconsin boarder, close to Richmond High school, I saw a bunch of quilted hearts hanging from the trees along the path on both sides. At first, my thought was — why are those hearts hanging from the trees? But as I got closer, I saw there were tags attached to the hearts stating “I need a home!” I actually was excited….so I picked the heart I thought was the right one for me and put it in my pocket to take home…..however, instead of taking it home, my beautiful quilted heart hangs on my rear-view mirror in my car……keeping me safe and happy!!! A big thank you to person (s) who hung the hearts out there. How very thoughtful…What a great idea…
