After visiting a family member in the hospital, I saw something red, white and blue in a small tree near my car. At first I really wasn’t paying attention but then I saw it was a heart with a little white tag.
I knew what it was because I was familiar with the Facebook page. I almost left it for someone else but after looking closer, I could see that it was hanging there a long time and the note was completely faded white with no words left yo see. That’s when I carefully untangled the ribbon from the little budding branch and took it as mine because no one else would likely know that it needed a home. And then the sun came out on an otherwise cold cloudy day.
