I was picking my daughter up from Pentwater public school when I parked and noticed something hanging from a branch near my vehicle. Children drop hats and gloves frequently, and I thought maybe someone had put up an article of clothing they’d found. To my surprise, it was this adorable quilted heart. I received some news Wednesday that requires a surgery that will take my ability away to have more children. It’s been an emotional two days, and finding this heart was a hug from this stranger that I didn’t know I needed. Thank you to the volunteer, you brought joy to my day.
