I hiked the cliff trail at Palisades State Park near Mount Vernon, Iowa, and after the hike decided to stop and sit for a bit on a bench near the beach. A slight breeze blew and I heard a quiet scraping sound and when I looked over the heart was hanging on a nearby tree. At first I thought perhaps someone had left a Memorial token and I decided to check to see if it had a name on it so I could offer a prayer for whomever it was there for. When I saw the tag, I decided, someone must be thinking of me and I said a prayer of thanks for the quilter who brightened my day.
