Omaha Beach, Normandy France

I was on a trip around Normandy with my brother. We went yo the American cemetery near Omaha Beach, one of the most important place for the Normandy’s landing and a historical place for second world war.

At first, going in the cemetery, we both saw the heart but we thought It was some kid missing toy or something like that and we didn’t stop. After the walk, going out, we passed again thought the heart and this time we were able yo see the label on it. We stopped and read It. And a what a surprise!!! We haven’t heard about this initiative, but now I think it’s an adorable one.

Thank you to the person who quilted MY OMAHEART, she/he makes my day. I’m from Spain , and I would love to join you making a quilted heart for some estranger.
