I found this heart while walking near Lake Wintergreen by myself and taking some time to quiet reflect after a hard day of particularly bad news. I found the solitude of the park to be a little too overwhelming as my reflection began to change to overthinking, and my thoughts began to feel overwhelming. This heart caught my eye as I searched around for something to focus on and ground me. It was hard to miss the pretty shades of this blue heart hanging deliberately from a tree branch! With curiosity and a little excitement, I gently removed it and read the attached note that lead me here. I’ve never heard of this movement before, so I was so pleased to learn I could keep my find! That moment of unexpected joy and connection felt like someone reaching out to give a small sign of comfort. To feel a moment of human connection in a time of need, even all alone in the woods has truly touched me. Thank you for this wonderful moment, and for the beautiful heart! ❤️
