My friends accused me of stealing but then I explained.
It was just a few days ago I first heard about the “I Found a Quilted Heart” program on social media. I thought it was a cute idea but never ever did I imagine I would actually find one. But today while walking down the streets of Mount Dora Florida there it was, quietly hanging on a post. I actually walked right by it but something in my mind told me to turn around and take a closer look. Could it be? Could I have just found a Quilted Heart? I went back and saw the ‘I need a home’ tag. I was having a good day and didn’t feel like I needed a heart. I thought maybe I should leave it for someone that did. Then I saw it was yellow and blue – my two favorite colors. Maybe it was meant to be. This beautiful heart needed a home and so I was going to give it one. That was when it occurred to me maybe, just maybe, I truly did need the heart and finding it was fate.
To the beautiful soul who made it – thank you. Please know that it has found a loving home and is bringing me great joy and peace.
