As I started my daily walk with my 2 dogs, I saw something hanging in a tree. I thought “oh no, some child lost their toy”. As I approached and was closer to the bush the heart was hanging on, I saw the note. It instantly made me smile. It reminded me of the painted rocks people leave behind.
The website says the heart is meant to brighten your day. Well, it did! I lost my Dad 4 weeks ago, and this brought a ray of sunshine to my day. As I continued my walk, I was passing a jogger. I stopped her and asked if she put the heart in the tree. She did not know what I was talking about, so I told her the story and showed her the heart. She said that by me telling her the story, it brightened her day.
So, whoever left this heart, you made more than one person’s day! I am leaving for Iceland on Sunday, and I am going to run out and buy some fabric and batting to make some hearts to leave in Iceland. Perfect timing for me to find this Quilted Heart.
