Memphis, TN USA

I traveled to Memphis with my daughter and her 27 year old son who is moving 1200 miles away next week. We wanted to have a little vacation with him before he moves. He loves music and we were able to check so many things off his list in Memphis. I have a minor heart condition and am on medication for that. We did so much walking and had so much fun. While seeking live music on Beale Street after our visit to Graceland, I found a beautiful quilted heart on my way to the ladies room. Nobody else was around as I was walking down the narrow hallway. I knew immediately that this heart was for me. It has Elvis and a guitar on it. I am a big Elvis fan and we share a birthday. As we were checking out of our hotel today, I had a conversation with our bell hop as my daughter was bringing the car around. We were talking about the sadness of homeless people that we saw while we were touring Beale Street. I felt such a connection with this young man that worked at our hotel as a bell hop. I told him about me finding the quilted heart. He said , “Oh my gosh” he had just found one at the entrance of the hotel. He said it was red and that he thought it was an ornament at first. I told him about the three sisters organization and that the heart he found was meant for him. I felt like this was such a special moment between this perfect stranger. After he loaded our luggage into our car, he gave me a heartfelt hug. The heart that I found and hearing the story of the heart that he found was a highlight of our trip. I feel like finding the heart is reassurance that my grandson will be okay with his move.
