Me, my husband, and our 2 boys were going to dinner and upon pulling into the parking spot I noticed something hanging in the tree. Curiosity got the better of me as my husband was like, “No, just leave it, you don’t know what that is or who put it there.” I’m glad I didn’t listen because as I got closer I was able to make out what it was and I yelled back to him, “Awwww, it’s a heart in need of a home.” My 5 yo of course had questions and I explained, “It’s just something nice someone has made and hid to make others smile, kind of like when we painted and hid the rocks. Remember?” To which he did and his little face lit up and he said, “Someone made that for us?” I smiled and said, “It is for us, since we are who was blessed enough to have found it.” Thank you to whomever took the time to quilt the heart and place it in that tree, you made mine and my sons day.
