Maui, HI USA

On my second trip to Maui I visited the dragons teeth. This is an ancient rock formation that holds meaning to the people of Hawaii. I always try to respect the indigenous people wherever I go. The Hawaiian culture is one that respects the earth and the ancestors and calls to all travelers to do the same. I saw something stuck in a bush and I was ready to snarl at the careless human who left their garbage in such a beautiful place. Imagine my surprise to find a beautiful quilted heart instead. The building of community is a valiant and noble cause and I thank the person who left me a message of hope and love.
