We were on a trail and ended up losing part of the trail along the Creek bed and we found this cute little heart And ended up hiking up 250 foot elevation hill or Mount Everest as my son called it Through thorn trees and thistles. We ended up on the wrong trail and we were getting close to dusk and I realized we were nowhere close to civilization, my compass broke. So I sat down and took a Deep breath and remembered the sun, where is the sun in the sky? I knew we needed to be Northwest and it sets in the West so I told my 11-year-old we gotta go that way .We made it out before dark But it was a very impactful trip and made me realize how much I love nature because even when man-made things fail us there is always a way if you understand nature . Thank you so much for this, it will always be a reminder of a great day with a great lesson.
