My sisters – in – law and I decided to trek the mile and a half trail to the Ludington lighthouse at Ludington State Park, Michigan. As I am waiting for them at the start of the trail, I noticed the quilted heart on the entry post to the campsite from the parking lot. Curious, I take a closer look and saw the note so I took it with me. I have found painted rocks before, but never a quilted heart. I thought it was adorable with the camping/trail image, and the smiley face made me happy. I’m not used to hiking, let alone in sand, so I kept my hand on the heart to inspire each step closer to the lighthouse. It worked! 🙂
