Lucas, KS USA

Traveling through Lucas, Kansas USA.
We stopped to visit the oddities in the area (‘Garden of Eden’, ‘Miller’s Park’ and ‘Davis monument’ in Hope Cemetery). Though very cool visits, I was feeling anxious traveling after a year of scary heart health problems that kept me in the hospital for a month in April. The idea of having health problems on the long, rural roads had me overly nervous. This trip was not only a work trip for my spouse, but a chance to take our daughter on a first time trip to Denver and Colorado Springs, for surrounding landmarks. We added stops along the way so she’d have great memories with her parents. As we took the very rural trek far from big town ERs, I got more nervous. I stepped out at our first stop at Miller’s Park, and found the first heart! Then we drove up the road to our next stop at Hope Cemetery and I got out and spotted the 2nd heart! Not sure it was intended to bring more than the smiles that it did, but I also found my calm with them. I just felt like someone cared. There was care enough for me to spot 2 hearts. I took it as a prompt to just let my fears step aside and enjoy this trip. We were gone for a week and a half, and every time my fears tried sneaking back in, I pulled the hearts out of the glovebox. They were just what I needed to remind me to just breathe and enjoy this trip. Thank You to you who made and left these beautiful hearts! You touched mine more than you realize! I appreciate you! You have also encouraged me to participate in making and hiding some hearts myself. I can only hope that I can do the same for someone else. Thank you again! Because of you, I got to calm and have a nice trip with my family! Great memories were made!
