I was visiting the Howard County Veterans Memorial to see the bricks that were put there for my uncles, grand fathers and brother (6 bricks in total). While looking and reading the names of all the the soldiers who lost their lives in Vietnam I saw something on a tree behind the memorial. I walked over and saw it was a baggie that contained the heart and it made me smile, then I saw the note saying it needed a home. So I took it home with me, then a few days later while I was at my Aunt’s house I decided she needed the heart more. As those were her brothers names on 3 of those bricks. One that was killed while serving his country & the other 2 who served but returned home. My aunt appreciated the heart and it made her smile too especially when I told her where and how I found it.
