Kinston, ON Canada

Wow, what an amazing morning. I found a beautiful quilted heart at the corner of King and Lower Union here in Kingston Ontario, with a personal message that said “You are Loved”. On this same walk, I also found a helium balloon at the lakeshore (I was picking up garbage at the shore, which I often do on my morning walks) released from a grade four class in Elyria Ohio–it had traveled hundreds of kilometers from the south shore of Lake Erie to the north shore of Lake Ontario! My meanderings also found me noticing a dead baby bunny rabbit, a dead blue jay and an apple tree dropping fruit on asphalt. What a wild and poignant mixture of life and love, death and loss all in a two hour period. I am a dedicated craftivist, public artist, singer-songwriter and Unitarian Universalist minister here in Kingston and love, love, love this quilted heart project. I will share with friends far and wide. Thank you dear heart stitchers everywhere!!
