Kent, CT USA

While waiting for my husband at his dental visit in Kent, CT, June 5, I decided to take a stroll around town. We planned on visiting friends after his appointment and my heart felt a bit heavy as I thought about my best friend’s sister who is facing a serious medical challenge. As I rounded a corner from the back of the Kent Green, I came upon a beautiful flowering bush near the Kent Welcome Center. Something caught my eye—it was a simple beige, heart-shaped ornament hanging from a branch. I flipped it over and saw the IFAQH.com tag on it and slipped it off its perch. I admired the craftsmanship and design of this lovely token and tucked it into my pocket, grateful to give it a home, and incredulous that it was the second heart I found in Kent this year! It became a talisman for the heart during our visit with our dear friends and reminded me of being grateful for the gift of living every day. Thank you to the person who made it and for carrying on the mission of spreading random acts of kindness. I will definitely pay it forward.
