My 4-year-old daughter Thea and I were taking a walk on New Years Day on the trail by our neighborhood. Thea loves to go on creek walks, in any type of weather. Near the trail head she spotted the quilted heart hanging on a tree like an ornament. She asked if she could have it, and someone walking by said that the back of the ornament may indicate it is one that needed a home. It did! She clutched it in her hands for the rest of the walk, and proudly brought it home.
