Harrison Lake, BC Canada

Last weekend, I was walking around Harrison Lake village with a dear friend and her 38 year old daughter, “Em”, who has Schizophrenia. We left Vancouver for a mini getaway. I refer to Em as the “daughter of my heart,” and love her as though she was my own. I was blessed with four sons, one of whom also was diagnosed with schizophrenia. Every day I wear a heart because I truly believe that LOVE is the most important aspect of humanity: every being wants to feel loved. My favourite song about love, is by John Lennon and is simply called LOVE; “Love is you, you and me.” So, when I noticed something stuck in between black iron fence posts and discovered it was a heart, I was ecstatic! Em’s mom said that it was serendipitous that I would find it because I “see” hearts everywhere.
