What a beautiful surprise! I found this heart the week after Valentine’s Day, while hiking on a state park “rail-trail” called the Airline Trail. This is a sign to me, I had been on a hiatus from dating for the past 2 plus years and had pretty much given up on the idea of ever finding love again… wasn’t doing online dating or anything like that, and was actually OK and happy with life….but then, it was hiking nearby that I met a wonderful guy right after New Year’s and we started dating. While hiking and thinking about him and wondering if it could possibly lead to something more than just dating … I spotted this heart hanging from a raspberry cane! I had to work to get it past the many thorns, and that made me laugh because of the metaphor! OK, heart, I can take a hint. I am so happy to have found this little treasure and I think this project is amazing. And the person who made it used the most intricate, beautiful stitching around the edge! It’s exquisite. Thank you!
