Greece, NY USA

On October 6, 2023 I was out for a ride on my new bicycle on what was a gorgeous autumn day on the Erie Canal. I had decided to ride for about 50 minutes, so at exactly the 25 minute mark I stopped near a tree somewhere between Hen Peck Park in Greece, NY and Long Pond Road. I had a bit of water and was about to turn around when my eyes fell on a sweet little heart hung amongst the vines growing up a tree that was near the canal. I have not heard about the IFAQH project before this and I couldn’t be more happy that this heart reached out to me! It indeed holds special meaning for me as there are tiny puppy paws on some of the fabric (we had a puppy join our family a bit over a year ago!!!) so sweet, with a tiny heart charm and bead embellishments. Also there is some adorable chicken fabric that, to me, represents an organization called Homesteads for Hope (which I had just cycled past on the canal!). I am blessed by this and will hang it in my house as a reminder of the love and kindness in this world. I would like to get involved by making some hearts to share out in the world as well!!!!
