I found this heart carefully wound into a branch of a tree on the edge of the parking lot of a rest area between Grand Rapids and Lansing along Route 96. We were on our way home to Westerville, OH after having spent several days caring for our grandchildren in Ada while their parents got away for their anniversary.
The kids and I had spent many hours crafting toys from felt and bells and feathers for their new kittens.
I was instantly attracted to this cheery little heart! I predict that it will be added to our Christmas tree decorations.
I hope to create a few of these myself to pass along in my own travels in upcoming days.
