Just about every morning I go to a nearby park and sit on a bench under a canopy of crepe myrtles that have spent most of the summer in bloom, full of purple flowers.
Recently (relatively recently – I found this a few weeks ago and am finally getting around to posting this now. Sorry!), on one of my morning trips to the park I found this heart. It was a nice little moment, and I’m grateful to the creator for their generosity in taking the time to make this and spread some joy in the world. To echo the sentiment of many others, this will now be my reminder of good things on the more challenging days.
