Frankenmuth, MI USA

A special tradition started 20 years ago. My daughter shares her birthday with her best friend’s mother, November 17th. The Mother- Daughter duos began celebrating the Birthday girls with a Frankenmuth trip to rev up our Christmas spirit. We all have family connections to this festive town and through loss and relocation, we were missing the special connection to this area of days gone by.
Recently we again made our way for our 20th year (some uncertainty among us on the accuracy of this) to capture the spirit of Christmas in the Frankenmuth area, chatting & reconnecting the whole drive there!

This lovely Quilted Heart was found on the porch of the quaint Pride & Country barn. We all reveled in this sweet find and shared stories of quilts passed down in our families, or ones we were gifted or had made ourselves. The quilted heart sure was a delightful story starter!
