Fort Wayne, IN USA

I found this quilted heart hanging on a tree just as my mother and I parked outside of a Mexican restaurant for lunch. I immediately jumped out of the car and was wondering “What is that hanging from the tree?” I almost left it there thinking someone left it as a homage to the restaurant, the tree itself, no idea, but I’m respectful of those types of things and didn’t want to remove something that was meant to be there. Still curious, I read the note attached to the quilted heart I realized that it was ok to take it. I was so excited! Personally, I’ll accept it as a sign from the universe and/or my loved ones that have passed that they love me and are always with me. You see, I’m up from San Antonio, TX visiting my mother who lives in Fort Wayne, IN. My step father unexpectedly passed just a week ago and as anyone can imagine, it’s been a stressful time for my mother and extended family. It’s always the little things in life that can bring the most joy! Thank you to this community and to whoever left the quilted heart. I had never seen or heard of this until today and I think it’s wonderful! The world definitely needs more little tokens of kindness.
