As I was parking at Costco, in Folsom, CA, USA, I spied an ornament, a quilted heart hanging from a tiny branch on a tree in the parking lot. I went in the store but as I came back to my car, I thought, “Well it’s still there. I’ll take a look.” I saw it had a tag. So, I thought it was meant to be. It warmed my heart immensely. I was so intrigued by the tag. You see, I belong to a knitting group, Chix With Stix, who knit and crochet scarves, hats, and gloves for the unhoused in our area. I love these community groups who use their hobbies and talents to spread joy in their community and sphere of influence.
