My husband and I were visiting Walnut Canyon National Monument (8 miles east of Flagstaff, AZ, US) and reading an interpretive sign along the Pueblo Trail when my husband spotted this quilted heart hanging inconspicuously in a juniper tree behind a bench seat alongside the trail. I took photos of it and checked out the website depicted on the piece of paper stitched to it. I don’t think it had been there long because the paper was in perfect condition, and the writing on it, written with a marker, had not been obliterated by precipitation. It said it needed a home, so I was honored to give it one ❤ We live in Ash Fork, AZ, US.
