I found my quilted heart outside of my grandparents church hanging on a tree. My grandpa passed away March 2020 and it’s been really hard for my family since. The past several weeks, my grandma’s health has been quickly declining. My grandma and I have the same birthday and we have always been incredibly close. Yesterday, I had to say goodbye to my grandma. I went to see her and told her that I would be okay and that I didn’t want her to suffer. On my way home, I stopped at my grandparents church and found the quilted heart. Within 2 hours, she passed. Roses have very special meaning to me and so I asked her to send me a rose and the white fabric on the heart has a rose pattern. It’s hard to see, but it’s there.
I feel like the quilted heart was a sign from my grandparents, and so it means even more. Thank you so much!
