My new (second) husband and I were on our honeymoon in Dahlonega and stopped by a Hardees for lunch on the way home, to Murfreesboro, TN. I looked at a hiring table and there was this little, lacy, heart. I picked it up and was warmed by the sentiment. I took it and brought it home. My new husband, Daniel, and I, talked about it for awhile and were both delighted by it and anticipated a craft activity. Fast forward a month and my new step-daughter, who is learning to sew, wanted in on the craft. So I quilted the tops, she added the batting and backing, and we have 4 hearts to “gift.” This little thing brightened our day and reinvigorated my love for quilting, which I used to do with my grandmother! We made 4 more hearts, which we are eager to distribute, hoping to brighten someone else’s day! Thank you for this gift. Thank you for this craft activity with my stepdaughter!
