Elk City, OK USA

I have been working in the Amarillo area and have traveled there a few times (I am from Jonesboro, Arkansas). I found this quilted heart hanging on a bush outside at the corner of my hotel. It was either a Holiday Inn or a Drury Inn (I do agriculture work and my days and times and hotel stays are running together, so sorry! – It was either in Amarillo, TX or possibly Elk City, Ok)

This was so special to me because I immediately knew I wanted to give it to my mom. She used to be an avid quilter, she had a very nice long arm quilting machine in her basement and she even paid for me to go to training to learn how to adjust and maintain it. She has made tons of beautiful quilts and even won some awards. Sadly Parkinsons has taken away the possibility of her ever quilting again. I was so proud to give this heart to my mom and she was tickled to death at the idea that there were strangers leaving quilted gifts for others in random places. Thanks so much!
