I found this wonderful quilted heart tied to a beach fence as I made my way through the dunes yesterday morning. I walk on this beach almost every morning and have since the beginning of the pandemic. It has helped me in many ways and I joke that it only took a global pandemic, and an economic and social meltdown for me to begin walking on such a beautiful beach 10 minutes from my house where we have lived at for 25 years! This beach has helped me in many ways process many transitions; from watching my mother slowly die from cancer, a sudden loss of a dear friend and colleague, watching my father as he begins fading into dementia, seeing my son moved away to CA to begin his journey into adulthood, losing of my mother-in-law, and now my wife and I are planning our next phase of life as retirement is on the horizon.
This heart was such a lovely reminder of how connected we all are to each other, to nature, the world, and to everything. I want to say thank you to whoever created this and put it in my path…another heart has been touched❤️
