My wife and I were walking our dogs on our normal route in am anything but normal Saturday. Her father had a stroke on Wednesday and is currently in the hospital. We are all trying to figure out what the new normal will be. He is the kind of guy to walk four miles per day. The kind of guy to give up his retirement lifestyle to care for his 105 year old father in another state to allow him to remain in his own home. During covid. For five years. He attends the games of the grandkids and supports his children without question.
We were taking the dogs for a walk because we’ve been up at the hospital so much and they needed some love. On the way home I spotted the heart. I’m the kind of person who believes in signs. So thank you to the person who left it there at a time when we needed it most.
