Today we hit the beach in Delray. Before we headed down the walkway to the beach, we stopped to admire a very nice silver buttonwood. I like to think I’d have noticed the heart at that time, but it wasn’t until we were leaving the beach and about to cross the street that I happened to look back at the tree. That’s when I saw the heart dangling from a branch and liked the way it matched its surroundings (that type of tree has leaves that are a soft greenish gray). I’m not sure, but I like to think that the maker happened to place it during my beach visit today.
I love finding stuff like this, and it was a great introduction to this project. I’ll be making some of my own hearts sometime soon!
