I work at a local hospital and I was having a particularly rough morning. This year at Thanksgiving my aunt drowned in Florida, then less than 2 weeks later my grandmother had a stroke and passed. Usually every year I do a Christmas tree for my children to decorate and then a smaller tree decorated with cardinals and other memorabilia for those that are not with us. Unfortunately this year I’ve been struggling with the Christmas spirit and so did the kids tree and was feeling guilty because I have been so in grief right now I haven’t put up the cardinal tree. So on this rough morning, I’m running into work, heavy hearted and freezing from the cold front and hanging from the bushes next to my work I see fabric. I walked over and see this cardinal quilted heart. Immediately just felt like this was EXACTLY what I needed this year. So thank you to whoever made this. I wish you knew the impact and strength finding this heart had.
