Out on our annual apple picking family adventure, I was walking along a row of empires when a flash of yellow amongst a sea of read and green caught my eye. Hooked on an outer branch, I see this beautiful black and yellow heart. My son (who is 16) exclaimed that I had found and “Easter egg,” which in gamer speak is a unique item in an unlikely location. The fact I am a beginner beekeeper (finishing year 2 in 2023) and I had found a black and yellow heart in an apple orchard made this an Easter Egg indeed. It absolutely brought joy to my heart. So thank you to whoever made this beauty. It will be loved for many years to come!
