Let me preface this by saying that my mother lives 16 hours away from me and unfortunately, we don’t have much of a relationship and rarely speak to each other. I walked into the mall today and saw this “Mother’s Day” set up that you could take pictures with. I thought to myself, “I’m going to take a picture with that and send it to mom this year.” I went into Bath & Body and saw a candle that said “Love You Mom,” (and it smelt like lilacs, her favorite pa flower.) I picked it up and also grabbed a body spray I thought she’d like. Went to the bookstore after that and purchased a book in a genre that I typically wouldn’t. On my way out, I asked my boyfriend if he could take a couple pictures of me at the set up. I sat down and picked up the fake flowers that were on the bench and set them in my lap. I glanced back down and saw this heart that had been hiding underneath them. I smiled from ear to ear. No one else had picked up those flowers, otherwise they would have found the heart and taken it. I 100% believe I was meant to find this and I took it as a sign that I was doing the right thing by reaching out to her and sending her these gifts. I will be sending it alongside the candle and body spray I bought for her, where it will find it’s new home in the beautiful Sunshine State, Florida. Thank you so much, from the bottom of my heart.
